Tribeca Studios has partnered with Lin-Manuel Miranda’s Miranda Family Fund to open Colectivo, a scholarship and filmmaking program designed to help the subsequent era of Latino storytellers. The new program created in partnership with the Hispanic Federation will showcase three rising film producers funding, mentoring, and potentially premiering a unique fast film at the 2025 Tribeca competition.
The filmmakers “have been supported through every step of creativity from growth to distribution in response to the press conference. These people will receive turnover and coaching from Tribeca Studios, as well as producers Maria Altamirano and Lin-Manuel Miranda, Jr. Luis A. Miranda and their “long-term community”.
Lin-Manuel Miranda said: “The Miranda Family Fund is proud to be companionship with Tribeca Studios to elevate Latino artists, when many were pulling alternatives from underrepresented people and successfully trying to silence a variety of voices and communities.”

Three collaborative Latin filmmakers will produce a unique scripted quick movie that highlights “expert knowledge in the digital camera and the entrance and behind the back.” In addition to the Miranda family researcher “from an underrepresented background”, he will also be part of the group of every film.
“For the past 25 years, Tribeca has advocated underrepresented filmmakers, communities and stories,” said Jane Rosenthal, Tribeca co-founder and CEO. “We all know that, like the Colectivo program, the artist’s growth package is key to creating an entrance, launching a career and provocative audience. Together with our partner at the Miranda Family Fund, we find bold, new voices that are pushing boundaries and changing the sport, each playing at the entrance to a digital camera, which is our honor in our competition.
