Donald TrumpCredit score for keeping TikTok alive… However, people online aren't buying it – blaming the 47th US president and the social media app for a PR stunt.
Here's what happened… Trump jumped on stage at a victory rally on Sunday, one of many occasions to celebrate his election victory over the weekend before Monday's official inauguration.
During the speech, Trump talked about TikTok…mentioning how he used the app to win the 2024 election – claiming it helped him win the votes of young people. Trump did win more support from voters in the 18-29 age group, and he even got more votes from 18-29 year olds than men Kamala Harris.
Trump says his administration has no choice but to avoid wasting so many people's jobs on TikTok… and that's exactly what he's doing by forcing ByteDance to co-own the business.
